Welcome to the official website for NeonHeight's game servers. My name is Josh and I run several gaming servers under the steam name NeonHeights along with my friend Alex who goes by Arcanus44. The servers started back in late 2011 when a favourite trade server of mine was shut down due to lack of funds. I decided to buy my own server and run it so everyone from the past server could visit and trade once more. We started off by running trade_plaza. After a few months my servers became quite popular and there were players on it all day. I began learning how to use Hammer World editor and made a couple of maps for TF2. One of my most popular maps was trade_ironreign_gamecenter which we had on the server for several months.
Eventually I could no longer get enough money to pay for the server so I set up a donation program hoping our regulars would help keep the server alive. Within the first week of the program being up, we had raised enough money to cover the next month. It was such a huge success that I continued the program and set up a full list of donator perks that anyone who donates over ten dollars would have access too. The final update I had made to Game Center added so much that the map unfortunately lagged a lot, so I began working on a different map to use instead. I got the idea to make a Minecraft themed map because they seemed very easy to make and didn't lag a lot. I spent very little time designing this new map and didn't think anyone would like it, I named it "trade_minecraft_neon". As soon as I uploaded it, I got lots of positive comments and was told that I should continue it and upgrade it. Over the next few months I slowly added parts to the map to make it better. With every update I released we got a few more people on the servers and I eventually bought a second server to keep up with the traffic. With both the first and second server full the majority of the time, I then bought several more and here we are today.
We run several Team Fortress 2 servers and a Minecraft server. Since Christmas 2012 we have had a need for responsible moderators and admins. If we see that you positively contribute to the servers, play on the servers often, have a mic and use it, and are a responsible and polite person you have a very high chance of being chosen as a mod. As a general rule, we don't choose people under 16 to be members of our staff. Unless you are very mature, we probably won't even consider you. One helpful thing that I always appreciate is when people report donator abuse. Donator abuse is when a donator violates the rules found in the donator information tab to the left (These can be things such as killing others while using unfair commands, toggling commands on people other then themselves, etc...) Donator abuse is very serious and I will not tolerate it on my servers. You can take a screenshot or video, or record the time and date when the abuse happened so I can check the logs and act accordingly. Please do not contact me about abuse that happens on server seven. Server seven is a donator specific server and if you do not like the donator activity there you should move to one of our other servers where donator abuse is not tolerated.
